Have you wanted to learn how to can and preserve fresh fruit and vegetables from your garden? Well, this is your chance to learn from a very knowledgeable Master Food Preserver!! We are fortunate to have a guest speaker come to our Nursery to teach us how to can. April Reese is from Grass Valley and is a Master Food Preserver and has offered to come and teach us how to can and preserve our fresh veggies so we can enjoy the fruits of our labor all year long. In this class she will do a canning demonstration. I am a visual learner so I am very excited to watch and learn!! This is a great opportunity, and we hope to see you here!!

This is a clever idea for planting veggies or flowers in your garden. It's a raised bed made out of straw bales. This a great method for people with limited space or who can't spend a lot of money on wood to make a raised bed. Straw bales are much cheaper and easier to use...and once you are done with the garden, this whole thing can go in the compost bin! Come in and we will help you get started and teach you the in's and out's of straw bale gardening!

We will be taking donations of fresh food from your gardens and fruit trees every week through the growing season. I will make weekly deliveries to a local soup kitchen and the Yuba Sutter Food Bank. We can help fight hunger locally garden by garden!! Just drop by and leave your donations inside in our garden box!

We are passionate about helping our customers grow their own fruits and veggies. We believe everyone can grow a portion of their produce needs if not all of them. We want to help you learn how to grow, compost, and preserve your own fruits and veggies. We will have classes on vegetable gardening, composting and canning through out the year.
