STRAW BALE GARDENING!! IT'S EASY and FUN!
If you are soil challenged...have limited space...or don't want to spend a bunch of money on the wood to build raised beds...this is gardening method for you. We can teach you the straw bale gardening method when you come in to visit us. We can show you our straw bale planters that we have planted here at the Flower Hut!! Come check it out!

We are carrying a new seed line this year and are very excited. We now carry FRANCHI Italian seeds. These are great seeds... every time I have planted them in the past I have been rewarded with beautiful and vigorous plants!! Lots of wonderful varieties of veggies!

BABY CHICKS START ARRIVING THE FIRST WEEK OF MARCH....
Our first shipment of chicks arrive the first week of March...and then every two weeks we get more shipments through out spring. So far we have Buff Orpingtons, Plymouth Rocks, Americanas, Rhode Island Reds and a few others on order. We will also start carrying ORGANIC chick feed. Love baby chicks!!

We are passionate about helping our customers grow their own fruits and veggies. We believe everyone can grow a portion of their produce needs if not all of them. Even if you live in an apartment or small house with a small yard. The health benefits are a huge part of growing your own food, but there is also a considerable benefit to the environment. We want to help you learn how to grow, compost, and preserve your own fruits and veggies. We will have classes on vegetable gardening, composting and canning through out the year. If you are not able to attend a class , we are always available to help you and answer your questions when you visit us. We would like everyone to consider composting their garden and green waste. Composting reduces landfill waste and it will produce great nutrient rich soil to add to your garden beds. Learning to preserve and can your fruits and vegetables allows you the opportunity to enjoy tasty treats from your garden all year long. It is a full circle, from garden to pantry, and we are very, very serious about helping all of you have a successful experience. Please come to one of our classes or visit us with your gardening, composting or food preserving needs!!
